Cobalt is the head office at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust where our payroll department is based.

5 minutes from the A1, 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre and 20 minutes from Newcastle International Airport. Five access points provide immediate, free flowing connections to the A19 and national motorways.

By road

From the North Travel south on the A1, take exit signposted Tyne Tunnel. Continue south towards Tyne Tunnel along A19, exit A19 at Holystone Roundabout. Take 2nd exit signposted Cobalt Park and Whitley Bay Centre. At roundabout take 2nd exit straight ahead, at next roundabout take 2nd exit into Cobalt Park. Continue south into Cobalt Park and at roundabout take 3rd exit onto Silver Fox Way and into Cobalt Central.

From the South Travel north on A1 (M) or A19 towards Tyne Tunnel. Go through the Tyne Tunnel and on exit head north on A19. Take 3rd exit north signposted to Silverlink. Continue straight ahead over 2 mini roundabouts at 3rd roundabout on Middle Engine Lane take 2nd exit onto Cobalt Park Way then 3rd exit north on Cobalt Park Way. At roundabout take 3rd exit left onto Silver Fox Way and into Cobalt Central.

By rail

With direct links to the major UK cities along the East Coast mainline Newcastle Central Station offers a multitude of rail links, the Metro station located within Central Station ensures that links to Cobalt are seamless. Simply take the Metro from platform 2 to Northumberland Park Interchange from which you can connect to the 19 bus service direct to Cobalt Park. By air

Airport Newcastle International Airport offers flights to over 18 domestic airports. The Metro station located within the airport runs services to South Gosforth Metro station, transfer at South Gosforth from Platform 2 to trains towards the coast to Northumberland Park Interchange where you can connect to the 19 bus service for the 3 min journey to Cobalt Park. By bus

More than 1,000 bus journeys connect the park on a daily basis, connecting to over 40 key destinations throughout the region. Newcastle direct express services include X9, X58 & X39, the brand new buses on the CobaltClipper 309 provide free wifi to all travellers, altogether there is a bus every 7/8 minutes travelling from Newcastle to Cobalt. Service 19 connects both legs of the metro at Northumberland Park Interchange at Percy Main also meets every North Shields Ferry. Other services that run direct through the park connect Gateshead, Ashington, Gosforth, Wallsend, Whitley Bay, North Shields, Cramlington, Ashington, Killingworth, Monkseaton, and many more locations directly to Cobalt. Metro The Metro network consists of 59 stations providing transport links across Tyne and Wear. The transport interchange at Northumberland Park and Percy Main provides connections to the 19 bus service facilitating direct links to Cobalt Park. Metros run every 10 minutes throughout the day.
